Test For Biden's Uk Friendship
I think most of us guessed that the driver who mowed down Harry Dunn was not entitled to Diplomatic Privilege as the wife of a U.S. spook on a RAF Base. The FCOD also cocked up here.
Once the dust has settled and Biden is sworn in I wonder if he is interested in correcting this injustice and send her back to the UK. I won't hold my breath.

Trump has acted appallingly in this case and very disingenuously towards the UK, why aren’t you asking him to hand her over to face justice?
(The case in the High Court has not yet decided if she is immune or not. The verdict is tomorrow)

Exactly. That was my point. I don't believe Biden is any more an ally of the UK government than Trump was. If Biden is sworn in, in 70 days time, surely there is nothing to stop him taking retrospective action if it is deemed that this cowardly woman was not entitled to Diplomatic immunity in our High Court.
We were in the States around the time the controversy was going on and Trump was asked about it by an American journalist, his reply was along the lines that Who hasn't done that? (drive on the wrong side of the road), I couldn't help wondering if he gave me carte blanche to drive their roads carelessly, Officer, you're President thinks it's OK, just one of those things. Couldn't see it myself.
I don't really blame them but perhaps Britain could do the same sometimes

// (The case in the High Court has not yet decided if she is immune or not. The verdict is tomorrow)//
and is by and large irrelevant
as someone who rang the F O and told them they could go into the Libyan Embassy under the doctrine of Hot Pursuit on Yvonne Fletcher day in 1980 ( told to poss off. clerk kept his job)
there was something very odd from the off
the policeman (gave one interview, broadcast once) wished to arrest and process ( and then release if and when diplomatic immunity is proven ) and was told to do this nd then do that - whilst she climbed onto a plane and left
and the policeman was heard no more
and I conclude that it was planned from the off (time of the accident) and there is nothing we cd do then
and nothing we can do now
[this idea isnt too complex for AB is it? that people knew what procedure was from the off and ordered other people not to follow it]
I imagine or speculate there was a standing order not to interfere or let anything interfere with anglo american co operation in code collecting and breaking - and arresting a code breaker for flattening a 15 y old is obviously one
