Apart from the appaling antics of Sadiq Khan's tax-funded employee-moron, this short video shows the queen to be in a vulnerable open position at the end of the row next to the steps.

Why didn't the Duke sit there, shouldn't any gentleman do that, just he would walk on the kerb side of the pavement, (not that that applies to H.M!) or is that now passé?

erm 2007 - bit dated.
Maybe security services decided it would be quicker to get her out of there in the event of a serious incident, if she’s on the end?
Ah, yes, we’ll spotted, dave.
She is right where she can be moved by her security team really quickly if needed. Middle of a row is much harder to get her out. If anything Phillip is being the gentleman by taking a riskier seat. PS this is old news even though not in news, this happened in 2007
we are all on the ball this morning!
Apart from the security issues maybe the Queen would be addressing the congregation during the service. It would be easier for her to get out of her seat .Otherwise she would have to disturb others.

I accept that the photo is from 2007, but she still looked dangerously situated given what happened & I suppose the newsworthyness of the item is that this person could be employed in any capacity at all by the London Mayor.
Is it? Then why title your OP as you did?
You'd think the Duke would have learned his lesson after the Fagan debacle wouldn't you?

The man's an absolute bounder.
I don't think the Duck of Edinburgh can be held responsible for security at Buckingham Palace! Maybe he could have helped if he shared a bedroom with HM but maybe he's a snorer!

What are you trying to say zacs, are you looking for yet another argument? The OP is in 2 parts btw.

This person has been trolling me for 2 years folks.
I think I'll go and watch Columbo
// the Commission’s members, described as “almost entirely… left-wing political activists, campaigners, and celebrities, instead of historians and experts"//

Par for the course for lefty Khan then.
hello punters
why isnt this on the news?
2007

even i say Foo to that!
For ‘trolling’ read ‘picking him up on his many errors’ folks.
You’ve posted a 13 year old news story, from which you chose to highlight the apparent vulnerability of the Queen. Realising you’ve cocked up, you’ve picked up on a completely separate part of the ‘story’ (not even referenced in your OP) in an effort to restore some credibility. Silly boy.
I think I'll go and watch Columbo

stout fellow - the episode was probably made more recently
ter daah

and Candy - kissy kissy - stop complaining about being trolled. No you arent - you sound like Naomi complaining ( o god and ddid she er complain !) about me trolling her when all I was doing was saying she was talking crap. There was a lot of it
Isn't great to see a lovely civilised conversation on Valentines Day. Nit picking at its best.

god I am lucky no one understands my posts ranging as they do over end of the French Empire in the far east
and estimating GDP in 1700 - whilst buying an expensive first edition

sozza god and andie
This is current news - it’s dated 13 February 2001 - and the news is that Sadiq Khan has employed a man with a dubious history. I wonder what was on his CV to make him such an attractive choice?

Khandro’s reference to the seating arrangements at the event in 2007 detract from the subject.
its a man thing
and takes the place of xampayn and flowers

sort of - - pomagne and a bunch from the cemetery
