The French have now sent war ships to Jersey.

About time we stood up to the French and they learned that we are not in the EU and they have no say over us anymore. If they enter UK waters then it should be one across the bow and the next into the hull.

Why is anyone in the UK the least bit concerned about Jersey - they contribute rather less than naff-all to the well-being of anyone but themselves.

They pay no taxes, obfuscate any attempt to extract information on crimes in general (and financial crimes in particular), come crying for help if it suits them, but then run away and collaborate at the least hint of enemy action.

The French said that Jersey has been slow in issuing fishing permits to the French, and it may be true, but to cause trouble the French are in the wrong. We must stand up to them, any way.
