The tranny rugby players story has been hyped.
They have not been banned. The hospice took the donation and posted a thank you on social media. But they did not post a photo. When asked why no photo, the hospice explain that there had been complaints in previous years.

Honestly, I can't imagine any LGTBQ+ folk being offended by the lads dressing up. I suspect most of the complaints came from others, offended on their behalf. Utterly ridiculous.

APG, both stories are from the same source. I don't entirely blame the charity (if they received complaints, they had to investigate them), but the complainers are still petty and ridiculous. And as a result of their complaining, have cost the hospice potentially huge donations in the future.

APG, the hospice has apologised - as per Gromit's link - therefore that wasn't the beginning of the story. They clearly felt they had something to apologise for.

The Rugby club have been doing this for 18 years. Perhaps, like the Black & White Minstrels, it's time for them to review what's classed as entertainment in 2021. I'm not of the 'offended' persuasion, and neither would be a lot of TransV's or Drag Queens, but casting that aside -is it really fun these days? Could they not dress as Disney characters or Marvel Characters instead? I think a lot of the 'fun' of having chunky hairy men play a game of Rugga in dresses would probably go over the heads of anyone age under 30.

Sounds like the Rugby players have banned the hospice, not the other way round. They have chosen another charity for next year. They seen to have been offended that their photo was not used. Now the story is posted all over the internet complete with photos.

Agreed. The hospice looked after his wife when she was dying a couple of years ago.
And now, because they won’t put his picture on their website, he will not fundraise for them anymore.
