Didn’t the Prime Minister make Lord Geidt look foolish recently over some messages because of a new phone number?

Maybe Lord Geidt is doing what Dominic Cummings failed to?

Innocent until proven guilty? I reasoned the FPN proved that?
But as I said earlier, what chance is there when even your own ethics adviser can no longer trust you to tell the truth?
Attempting to change the ministerial code just after a scandal makes one look decidedly dodgy, does it not?
Even the Johnson diehards blushed a bit.

/// a difference of opinion as to what is and what is not a party ///
I agree, some people have "Tupperware Parties" and I can't think of anything more wrongly labelled. A gathering of people with cake and alcohol on someone's birthday is usually slightly easier however suddenly it's become really hard to call it a party. One reason it wasn't a party is that Boris' cake never left it's Tupperware box. It really is confusing.

The problem is Naomi we were told limited numbers in pubs etc was because alcohol breaks down inhibitions and people get closer.
Now, as you know, I never bought into any of the bull, but the Government spouted it and their Gestapo police acted on it - very harshly for some. I still think 'PartyGate' and 'Beergate' should be dropped, but I can se why others are very cross.
The Buffon needs to go, but not for this.
