Doesn't always work in remote rural areas, Maydup.
I was delivering to a fish farm in the far north of Scotland and technology took me to a hotel 45 miles away, luckily mine host had had the same thing happen before so I got there by following his directions.
PP, you get the Google maps app, find the place on the map by enlarging it, click on the spot & it registers it, then you right click on it again and it gives the coordinates.
But they're no b. use if your satnav can't accept them!
Thanks Chris I've noted that . As I said earlier though, my satnav doesn't recognise the street address, not even the Boulevard Charles de Gaulle which is close by.
Maybe when I'm France it will do so. I chose the hotel for the night simply because it's near the tunnel for an early start next day, - & pets are allowed.
Khandro - my Garmin nüvi 2599 is getting on for 8 years old now. You don't say which model you have, but on mine the 'Coordinate Format' settings are (from the top-level screen) under 'Settings' > (scroll down) 'Units & Time' > 'Position Format' > 'Coordinate Format'. Yours appears to be set to 'h ddd° mm.mmm'. If you select 'h ddd.ddddd°' ('Save' etc) then that will allow you to correctly enter the coordinates given by Google Maps.
