I have just spent a happy hour going through my main wardrobe. All the black clothes came out first, trousers, cardigans, jackets and tops.
No more black stuff.
Then, all the red clothes which I should never have bought in the first place. Red does not suit me.
Then all my 'work' jackets which I shall never wear again, apart from two which look good with casual trousers/jeans. The charity shops are in for a field day.
I feel strangely elated. A good job done. Now what to do with all the spare coat hangers?
Last time I had a clear out I took all the spare hangers To the charity shop along with the clothes and they said they don't take them any more and gave the back!
I love a good clear out of drawers and wardrobes , the saying goes if you’ve not worn it in the last six months chances are you never will ( well here it does)
Ohhh Noooo Tilly,my late friend was such a hoarder and the task of emptying her wardrobes and drawers was a monumental task, Beaver lamb coats ( I kid you not) that was without the stuff in the attic!
Unbelievably so, she’d even kept a payment book from 1964 for their furniture when they got married, her parents had died over 20 years before her and she still had ‘receipts’ of paying their council tax for them , she didn’t believe in DD till her husband died a year before her ( 2 years yesterday) I spent a full day dealing with gas, electric,Virgin media, council tax ,BT as had an email address ,neither of the knew what each other had in the bank…..nightmare

What about the Stoke City shirt? You could never throw that away could you? Plus if you keep a drawer full of profiteroles under the bed ever likely all your gear won't fit you.
