Can anyone help please?


What do Birmingham, Bristol, Chester, Leeds, Liverpool Manchester Norwich Nottingham Oxford Sheffield and Stoke all have which Brighton, Derby Peterborough Preston Southampton Sunderland and Wolverhampton do not have?(This is not a logic question)

could it be universities? not cathedrals or anything to do with football teams and the premiership for exmple? all of these are just musings of a kind hope they help

It may well be that the second lot DO NOT have cathedrals even though they are now cities. It used to be that a city was always associated with having a cathedral which is the case with the first lot of well-established cities. Whereas, I recognise Brighton, Preston and Sunderland as being recently made cities.

Airports?

there is an airport at derby, at least i think east midlands is closest ro derby, it is in derbyshire anyway so i am afraid that knocks that one on the head. still thinking though

Could it be 'Lord Mayors' as opposed to 'Mayors'?
