Is there anyone in the Darlington area doing or done the Giant Crossword.......? Phew it's a hard one and b-i-g. Goes up to 701 across and 685 down.

Help Tortoise! Have you got 41A orchestral composition (4 4)? I have T?N? P?EM but not even sure what I have is right

Also 76D growls (5) I have ?N?RS and have found a word "snars" which might do....?

It's just so hard and only a botle of bubbly to win but it's the kudos!

How are you getting on with it?

76D Chambers has 'snar' meaning to snarl so your answer looks good.

Thanks Juliefer, glad to have a 2nd opinion i'd say I'm about 75% through it, i've had a good session this afternoon. i keep almost binning it as the print is so small it's driving me mad but it seems a shame after so much effort. it's due in by the 9th Jan so i might be back on yet

We finally got it done and posted off and the closing date is tomorrow, it's not much of a prize but I'd love to win it just for the kudos! Watch this space :-)
