Attacked In His Own Home
Attacked in his own home as he and his family slept, Henry De Los Rios Polania, the father who shielded his wife and four-year-old daughter from the sword-wielding killer of 14 year old Daniel Anjorin is fighting for his life.
Marcus Arduini Monzo, 36, appeared in court yesterday accused of being behind a 22-minute rampage that left schoolboy Daniel Anjorin dead and four others seriously wounded – including a policewoman who nearly lost a hand.
Monzo describes himself online as a 'mystic and a musician, forced entry into the De Los Rios home shouting 'If you do not believe in God he will cause you harm.'
Another one screwed up by religion? The attacker has to be mentally ill.

No - the defence wounds have to be on the front. ( Basil or Adam was shot in the back of the head in Gaza and it is Very Difficult to say he was throwing anything - even with a back-flip). Tony Martin's case - he was shot in the bottom. He cd have been fleeing after he saw the shot-gun
My father 1944 defended a Tommy in German POW camp who insisted on ( English ) court martial. He attacked a German guard and was bayoneted in the buttocks. " No one attacks buttocks first" I am not sure if he won the case.
The farmer - it seems he shot the intruder off site ( or else the thief crawled there, but then there wd be a blood trail) -and so a defence of self-defence will be .... interesting.
The farmer - arrested on suspicion of murder. Well there was a blasted dead man, and the farmer had a shotgun. Suspicion is 'anything not fanciful'
//In the London incident, if the householder had attacked the swordsman could he have faced charges?//
No. He would have every right to protect himself and his family in his own home against an aggravated burglary.
If the householder was in legal possession of a registered firearm and shot the intruder in the back when he was fleeing the scene and no longer a threat then charges would probably follow against the householder.
The only reason Farmer Martin was banged up was because he possessed a shotgun licence but the shotgun he owned was a 8 shot pump action and should of been modified to load 3 cartridges or he should have recistered the 8 shot pump as a Sec I Firearm. He didn't.
hi retro
had cases make bad law: the Martin victim had the wounds in the wrong place, innit? - showed he was running away.
A neighbour had a snazz-wazz motor bike and I heard a conversation at 0200, .... around the Martin time.
and I said, it has to be on site and wounds on the front, and the defence should succeed.
" So I have to drag him back into the garden?" he said (yes)
