Has anyone else found it's got really hard over the last few weeks?

Not sure about actually being harder, but found the clues are a lot different which for me does make it harder to do. e.g. recently, I have been stumped, only to find (on Answerbank) that it is simply ODD or EVEN letters in one word which have to be extracted, easy when you know how but when I`ve got used to looking for it, it is no longer used.

Didn't someone post before Christmas that the usual compiler had died, hence the different type of clues? Was that the Daily Mail?

You're not alone in thinking that, rabbits. I am just not on the same wavelength as the compiler at the moment. I shall keep trying.
