Wouldn't call it much of a split, most parties have a wide selection of views. Musk is concerned about TR's mistreatment related to speech, Farage has opted not to have anything to do with TR as he feels TR's past associations make support for him a liability and the party would lose many more votes than it gained; resulting in a real split in the 'patriot vote'.
Both views seem reasonable.

Musk is concerned about TR's mistreatment related to speech,

By adopting the name Tommy, the Far Right Yaxley-Lennon is truly insulting all the real Tommies who gave their lives to free Europe from the yoke of the Far Right in 39-45.
But of course it's well known that many of the "aristocracy" in Britain were in favour of Hitler in the Thirties (even our own Royal Family), so Yaxley-Lennon's proclivities are no surprise.
My Dad, together with many of his comrade true Tommies, must be turning in their War Graves.
