Look back at some of the posts earlier today. I was going to ask the question myself but found loads of answers on this site.
Various trains of thought on this say that Good Friday could have originally been God's Friday, or that it is so called because a lot of good came out of this, or that good may mean holy - I would explain to my grandchildren tht it's no really known, but these could be some of the reasons - hope this helps
Sorry kendo2 I meant to say look in History & Myths for your answer
I was also having this conversation with my son today!!
Jesus died for Mankind to atone for the the sins of the the World, to be resurrected later. Surely total forgiveness is good.
Because it means we get to eat lots of chocolate?
Robbo Robbo Robbo.......you don't eat the chocolate until Sunday. Good Friday should be a day of fasting and abstinence...................you can take the girl out of the convent but unfortunately you can't take the convent out of the girl !! Enjoy your chocolate........TOMORROW !!!
