Is A 1 across humility? I cannot see why.

I have H?M?L?T? but cannot see where this clue ends and the part for the B diagram begins. Where have I gone wrong?

I think B2 down is non-com

NCO (non-commissioned officer) in nom.

I am struggling this week!!

I usually think of the difficult ones as those that take until Sunday evening to complete (starting on Saturday). I finished about an hour ago, but didn't start until today, so it can't have been that bad, though it felt like it. Your clues last night helped - once I worked out what they meant. Not helped by putting one of the A14s in the wrong place.....

B2 down IS non-com.

Sergeant = non-com(missioned officer); No=number, NCO= sergeant; M=number.

I have had family visitors today and have been playing Newmarket with the granddaughters for 5p pieces (they won!!) so the brain is a bit frazzled. (That is my excuse anyway). Good Luck!
