Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Everything seems to point to Herne Bay being the first resort but I can't confirm the length of the pier anywhere. I also can't find a time when the Herne Bay Pier was the third longest although it did lose some of the pier in 1978. Is the answer Herne Bay?

The lighthouse seems to be North Foreland lighthouse, which I think was the last manned lighthouse in the UK. Is this correct?

Ugh! What a horrid thing to call yourself after... Are you painful and full of puss? I'll forgive you and help anyway. If you go onto Goole and put in Herne Bay pier, you'll get everything confirmed. Can't help you on the lighthouse as haven't figured that myself. Goodnight.

Thanks colinrobert. You've confirmed what I suspected all along about the pier length - I wish they would pay more attention when compiling these puzzles.

Thank you as well ardenannie. It is a horrid name isn't it? At the time I couldn't sit down properly as I did have a small painful boil full of pus ( it would have been much bigger if I had puss in there!). I did consider signing up to AB with the location of the boil as part of the name, but in the end I decided to do the decent thing and substitute the first letter for another!!!
