Does anyone know what FERULAE means in the medical world? I have tried googling but no luck so far.

b Heart disease, breast cancer and colon cancer
c Migraines and eye strain
d Summer colds and ferulae

I thought d was the most likely but I don't know what ferulae is. What does any one think?

I've looked in 13 dictionary sites and none seem to be able to help.
Giant fennel also contains an anticoagulant that can be fatal to ruminants ; it also contains a carminative --to help relieve flatulence !

I am none the wiser as I have just found a site listing 15 benefits of sun exposure. They include diabetes, obesity, some cancers and heart disease. That would give a and b as the answer.
