Pregnant?????
8 Answers
Hi all, I'm looking a bit of advise. As some of you may know I'm trying for a baby, well my cycle is anywhere from 28 days to 34 days, well yesterday I was at home on my own and the first response pregnancy test I had in the cupboard was calling to me. Yesterday I was at day 25 of my cycle, and could not resist the urge to do the test, even though I knew it was MADNESS, and too early, BUT,,,,,, there were two pink lines, although the second one was faded, it was still clearly there. Could I be???????????? Although I know its still VERY early days.
I'm afraid to get excited or do another one incase my hopes are dashed. I am a lot more tired these days too. But I don't get much sleep with my 2 year old at the minute, which leads to another question, could lack of sleep be harmful to my pregnancy?

Good Luck if you are and Congratulations.
If there is a line,no ,matter how faded, then I would say you are pregnant.I did this when pregnant with my son,he was an IVF baby and so for two weeks we didnt know whether it had worked or not,and so I did a test 2 days before going to the hospital for their official test, and I also had a line so faint I could barely see it,and thought that it hasn't worked. But 2 days later I had it confirmed that I was indeed expecting.
So I think I can tentatively say - congratulations!!!!

I agree with Pink!
I remember doing a test the day before my period was due ~ two lines appeared and the positive line was very faint..I needed to look very closely to see it. I did another test a few days later and the line was darker.
You won't get a false positive result, only a false negative. A big 'congratulations' from me too :o)
Don't worry too much about the sleep issue ~ it won't be harmful to the baby as he/she can sleep as much as they like! it's difficult when you have a toddler to care for, but it's better for you if you can grab some shut eye whenever you can..I found the earlier weeks/months far more tiring than later on.

Congratulations - I had the same thing and ended up doing six different tests before finally believing it. But several were very faint and the ones they did at the doctors said I wasn't pregnant so I was in a right state, finally another doctor said to me that the shop brought ones and far better that the ones they do at the surgery so I was probably pregnant., however that was 15years ago so the doctors ones may be better now.
