If you're still stuck in a few weeks, Gandolf33, then ask again. As do the users of other sites, most people here like to have a good try themselves at this particular quiz before it gets discussed.

Obviously my mistake to ask for any assistance from an answerbank site, though I would have been happy with just a few more avenues to explore. Hopefully smug Patch 29 and Figi have finished it and never need to trouble this sort of site themselves..

hey prospector, if your'e happy to help I could do with a hint on this one.
I agree that asking for all the clues a week after the puzzle comes out is a bit odd (whiy bother getting it?) but after a couple of months why not. those who don't want clues sdon't have to look at the answers!

I agree with you Goofy and have no problem with Gandolf33 asking .... I am a new member, but totally confused by the way some ABers demand that you do not answer ....... for this puzzle, but for others you can ..... eg for the Generalist monthly puuzle, where you have 2 weeks or more to complete, it is okay to ask / answer questions within a few hours of it being made available. Also, there is a very protected puzzle called Quizmail ... it is said that the quiz setters have AB friends who pounce on answers!!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but these members who organise three 'reports' to get an answer banned that they deem is too early, should be banned themselves?

Think of a Martial Art and one of its most famous moves with the hand.

Thanks Prospector - finally got there, only Fiery Fred to go! I agree that simply giving the answers would diminish the benefit of the quiz, but sometimes a nudge in the right direction is just the tonic to revitalise one's enthusiasm!
