Hi ontarioice
As suggested I have spent the past couple of hours trying to google the correct information for Q120 but have failed miserably
Mind you I am not totally surprised as I have also failed on Q's 112,116,118 & 119 so my last ten is looking very sad
I've helped you with this before and was hoping to do so again but am stumped withQ120. I wonder what Peabrain's correct data is?
Do you want me to try a couple of the others for you? No guarantees, but I'm on late when all the UK folks are in bed so have lots of time then.

Sorry had company last night - no Googling yet. Any luck your end?
116 pops out of google

119 is a very obscure fictional place - you will almost certainly need to visit a library

112 ought to have been numbered as Q24 really
118 also pops out of google and there is a very big clue in the question
have you got a verified answer for the new q113?
Question Author
Hi peabrain and ontarioice
Thank you both for your help and suggestions
I now think I have the answers to Q's 112 & 118 but I am no further forward with Q's 116,119 & 120
Question Author
Hi peabrain
You must have been posting your question as I was posting my thanks
Q113 I have gone for Graphite, for a reason which escapes me at present
Sorry spursfan I only wanted a yes or no didn't mean you to tell me your answer.

116 google for 3 of the obvious words in the q an the answer will be on top of the list

120 there is very little those 4 countries have in common - try concentrating on Mongolia or Greenland
Question Author
Hi Peabrain and ontarioice
Q116 I have an answer now,but I found it more by luck than by judgement
This googling is really beyond me-I have tried your suggestions for Q's 112 & 120 to no avail
I think this months Back Ten are out of my league
Disillusioned spurs fan
112 - large amounts of money and '24' have a connection which should allow you an educated guess
HI
116 pops out of Google for me as Henry Irving, but he didn't live in the same time period as David Garrick and the clue says "friend of Garrick's." So he's out.
John P Kemble was also not in Garrick's time, but he did have a family who were all on stage.
I'm being thrown by the dates and the reference to being a friend of Garrick's.
Question Author
Hi ontarioice
Apologies for not contacting you earlier but I think the answer to Q116 is Sir Francis Blake Delaval
However I am still wrestling with Q112,119 & 120
Happy hunting
