recommended book?

How good is your memory.?About 4-6 weeks ago an ABer recommended a reference book that they had found useful in one of the quizzes that were doing the rounds. I think that it had 'Bradford' in the title but can't be sure.
Sorry to be so vague but i wanted to put it on my Christmas wish list.

Yes I have it in front of me now, it being recommended by crofter ... it's " Bradford's Crossword Solvers Dictionary" and well worth every penny!

granny grump - When I first saw my copy, I was amazed with its contents and wouldn't be without it!
I recommended it my good friends and fellow ABers, burgess3334 and johnalex. Later, I suggested it to earthakitten and I am delighted to see that sarumite (another good AB friend met through our shared interest in setting quizzes) has acquired a copy - and is delighted with his purchase.

I honestly believe that on AB we should help people with answers, but also help each other to develop to become even better solvers of clues and puzzles.

Sorry about this, sarumite, but last week Smiths were selling this book, Bradford's Crossword Lists and a book of Times Crosswords packaged up together for �10.98. It didn't look as if it was just this particular branch's promotion so it may be worth looking in your local Smiths, granny grump.

Only just logged on after a busy few days....It was me who asked for suggestions what to spend some book tokens on as a reference book. Bought a Chambers and got Bradfords..it is brilliant...have it by my side all the time!! Hope Santa is kind to you granny grump..or you MUST raid the housekeeping!!! Make sure you get the 6th edition.
