If you can throw any light on all this I'd be grateful - I'm heading for bed now, but will check in the morning and I hope your rugby team wins [I love rugby - I've been converted from Aussie Rules !!] cheers for now, Steff

I really enjoyed battling with this puzzle and add my thanks to those who pointed me in the right directions.
Does anyone understand the part in italics at the head of the clues.

Hi JRB - I can't take any credit for this, atoach worked it out amd the details are on a later thread, when ulysses100 queried it, however I can have a go -
If you read across the third line of the LH grid, ignoring the blanks, I think you'll see a familiar pseuodonym. Good luck with your entry cheers S
