I think you are absolutey correct, Pauline, when you say that there is a demand for the MM Links Game in its current format. However, its obvious appeal goes beyond scoring points. I could name many entrants who rejoice in their low scores and make light of it! We all welcome the bonhommie and social interaction.
Personally, I look forward to seeing what links the next setter comes up with! In a few months' time, my situation at work is likely to change radically (and for the better). In the meantime, I suggest than we monitor the KM Link Words with a light touch, in which we search only for the perfect score of 4 out of 4. This should continue in parallel with our newly developed MM Links Game until one closes through natural selection.
As one ABer said, we should not close our own game until we have checked the standard of the KM Links Game. As another has pointed out, we have the luxury of having TWO link games on the go at the same time for the next month (at least).
Thank you for your opinion, Pauline (which is as always valued) - particularly when there appears to be an impasse.
We should be celebrating the success of JimJools and rogerr, Congratulations indeed!
If either of you head the league table at this point next week, are you "up for" setting the link words throughout February - singly or shared (two weeks each) . Please let your feelings be known on this matter as we will need plans in place to cover the whole of next month!.
