New Members?

Is it my imagination...or have I been 'away' so long that there seems to be many new members on here? I popped on over the weekend..which seems to be a busy time on here,.. and I didn't recognise many of the names and a lot were in green. Of course the more the merrier..and a warm welcome to everyone!...but I hope I don't loose 'site' of my regular friends.

You are correct, Pauline. There are a lot of new 'green' names on the site. Perhaps they all made New Year resolutions to join the Abers!!!!

I suspect a lot of new people have joined up to get help finishing all the quizzes that came out over Christmas and which no doubt have to be submitted by the end of the month.

Good Morning All. I was just about to go to bed, when I saw that Pauline was logged on! When reference is made to getting 4 out of 4 on Saturday, it is equivalent to a KO in Boxing. It scores at least 6 points and 6 points from a KO beats 6 points obtained in a steady trickle (that's in the Rules!).

Recall JimJools leads on 6 points, rogerr is on 5 and Ont-ice is on 4 - so there's still lots to play forI AND there's the Herculis version to go for as well!

Just thought I'd get my two cent's worth in before the BT man comes - whoever he might be.
Mr. O is in bed with a bad cold so I'll be holding the baby for the MM game on Saturday. He usually does it, and did he ever crow last week! Wouldn't it be nice if I could do as well as he did?

As a fairly new person to answer bank I read all the comments with interest. I try to do all my qiuzzes without help but if i am totally stuck i come on and ask for a clue, but i must admit i do feel an outsider and can honestly say have never had much response to my questions then i see the regular names sending answers back and forth. How do i get accepted, I'm quite nice really!!!!best wishes Evsajo. ps I always try and help people with answers too

I can assure you, Evsajo that if I know the answer to your question I will certainly give it to you.
I'm sure that you are 'accepted.' It's not so long since I joined this site and I can assure that 99 and a half percent of the folks are really nice.
If you see a thread that interests you, just join in. That way we will get to know you. But you said yourself that you only come on when you're really stuck and perhaps we just don't see your name very often. Could that be it?

Been off line all day!! Would you believe it..BT never showed..even after the promise all day that they were on there way! I will have problems all weekend now! God help them on Monday!

I remember your postings to me over the last couple of weeks...we are all one big happy family I hope!...and Ont-ice is right..you must just join in, that's how we get to know each other. Maybe if you only ask when you are really stuck...then the question is too hard for the likes of me!!!
