Im having problems connecting wirelesly. Help....

Hi hope you can help me out here I have just changed my isp from ntl to sky, I was wirelessy connected to my laptop on ntl and had it set up and running in no time,but having probs connecting wirelessy to sky. I have the free router that sky sent and have 2 usbs dongles for my laptop and I have the same problem with both of them. First of all you must be wondering why I have 2, well the dongle that I had for ntl which is cable I thought would not work with adsl but I do belive now that it does and it is just the router that has to be cable or adsl can any of you confirm that, so I bought another one and both have the same problem connecting, I get to the stage that the dongles are up and connected and recieving fine but they are searching for my ip address and just cannot find it so I cant connect to the net . Any ideas would be most welcome thanks.....

How did you configure the Sky router? Were you able to connect to it using a wired connection? It's always a good idea to connect to routers using a wire for the first time, then configure the wireless.

have done that mvp all wired up, sky broadband have apparently supposed to have a free 24/7 helpline so will try to contact them but for the life of me cannot find the number to ring them on they do not advertise it very freely so will have to track it down (if it realy exicst of course) will try to ask on here
