Tesco my time

I bought this little book of puzzles as I was bored and am totally stuck. All words meaning 'quick'
1 Speedy (6)
2 Nippy (4) ending in T
3 Racing (5)
4 Fast (6) third letter C
5 Rushed (6) second letter P
Then reading diagonal from first letter of answer 1 through to second 2, third etc. Another word meaning quick. (5)
I came up with a few words , fast, swift, rapid, hasten speeds but cannot fit any of them in to make the diagonal. By the way I really do APPRECIATE the help on this site, keep it up all you clever people.

Could the diagonal be Haste? It would fit with Fast and Hectic?

hi miss skippy,this particular comp you have to fit the words given on the page into the grid,
ie: fast is the only 4 letter word , so it goes in the second row down, nippy is the only 5 letter word so it goes in the 3rd row down,then you'll see that rushing fits on the top, racing on the 4th and speedy on the 5th, giving the answer diagonally across as RAPID.

ps; its a great little mag, i've won twice on it :-0

OR - if the diagonal was Rapid, it would still fit fast and the last one perhaps Speedy?

in this puzzle you don't have to find the words meaning quick, they have given the words as speedy,nippy,racing,fast & rushed, the object of the game is to place the words they've given into the 6,5 and 4 rows,

Rushed (6 letters)
fAst (4 letters)
niPpy (5 letters)
racIng (6 letters)
speeDy (6 letters)

hard to explain unless you actually see the puzzle. :-)

Hi Guys, I a still not quite there, maybe because I managed MOS easily this morning.
Still confused !!! Is it usual to use answers that are also a clue.
Fast is clue 4 but could be answer for clue 2, as it's only 4 letter word could think of.
What can Speedy be (6) if it starts with R. if the diagonal is Rapid. Also what could Racing be (5) with a P in the middle.
TOTALLY CONFUSED.
