MM Links Soutions April 2007 [Week 3]

This third week of the reign of King Cliff was marked by him surprising everyone by honouring another monarch, namely Queen Elizabeth II. I can now reveal the chosen Link Words of cliffyg were:

Quite an "aggressive" list of choice links you must agree!

I was surprised to see that the first to be spotted was British Bulldog AND that was by the first Entrant Alibobs (a very nice person and great judge of character!). In her �two-minute wake� came three others to claim bonus points and they were burgess3334, Grenmus and Dinkypuzzled!

In that list were a couple of multiple hitters in burgess3334, who also hit on Birthday Bash (to bring his points total for the week to FOUR). This was matched in every respect by Dinkypuzzled who was found to be Trigger Happy at 09.04. That meant that three of the four words had been linked within four minutes of being posted!

The very last link held out for nearly two and a half hours, until Magyar came down the Old Kent Road as Entrant #29 with an inspired Pearly Queen! Well done to all of you but especially to Dinkypuzzled who is enjoying a bumper month having not scored a single point in the whole of the first three months of 2007!

YES, I declare Dinkypuzzled Hot Shot of the Round. CHEERS ALL ROUND !

Five others have amassed a total of three points and are well placed to strike next week

However, next week will be the last week of the reign of cliffyg, so there�s everything to play for! What he will come up with next week is anybody�s guess. I know it will be topical and well considered ~ full of cryptic clues and red herrings! To the winner will fall the honour of setting the link words throughout the month of May.

Until then, this is crofter signing off for another week.

Another good week for Good King Cliff who chose the words ~ and brilliant choices at that!! We�ve been blessed with THREE excellent setters. The next setter will have much to live up to and will (no doubt) rise to the occasion!

Well I go from bad to worse and now to add insult to injury much older brother (Burgess) is top of league!!!!!!!!.A BIG thankyou to Pauline, Rogerr, Kettledrum and Ont Ice for your kind words on Friday night, especially Ont Ice, they were so lovely they made me cry.Anyway a new week and a positive outlook !!!
