Any idea of what one has to do after solving all the clues in order to complete the crossword?

Unfortunately no. There was a previous posting yesterday about this and other than the fact that the title anagrams to "connecting whiteley" ( as in twice nightly Richard Whiteley ) nothing seems to have emerged. I've tried looking at what the unclued letters could spell out in connection with him but once ferret and yorkshire tv are removed the rest don't make much sense. If I come up with anything I'll post it both here and with the other query from yesterday.

Thanks novalis. You seem to be just as much at sea as I am and also thinking in terms of Richard Whiteley, Countdown etc to no avail.

Normally when there is so little preamble, the MO is self-evident. But apparently not in this case...

I haven't yet solved enough clues to confirm this, but I strongly suspect that knight's moves are involved in this one, in order to make a quotation from the missing letters.
