my wife has left me and i have been phoning her up lots of times to tell her i love her and i want her back and i have just had a phone call from the police asking me to go to the police station on saturday 16th june as they want to see me as she is getting me done for harassment what can i do? i can't afford to get nicked please can anyone help me out on this matter

My friend had the same thing. she made 20 calls and sent 10 texts and got a caution for harassment, Dont worry you have not done anything which will go through the judical system. You may just get a warning from the police to say 'keep away' and if they view it serious enough then you will get a police caution which is kept on your file. you do not need to declare this

as norman bluntly put it , stop calling until you speak to the police. Go through a lawyer if you need to if you have kids

Do not make any more attempts to contact your wife. It will be hard for you but abide by her wishes. If you need to contact her do it through a solicitor so that you are keeping on the right side of the law.

Be prepared to tell the police you are sorry, you didn't realise you were harassing your wife and causing her distress and you won't do it any more.

That should be the end of it as far as the police are concerned, provided you do stop.
