MM & KM Links Games

This will be the final week in the rain (sorry, I mean reign) of Queen Christiana of Portugal as she hands over the MM throne to yet another lucky winner to rule over LinkLand throughout the month of August. But who that will be ~ who can tell? There are no fewer than 15 players within two points of the leading pack and anyone can cross the winning line first. Of the favourites, only rogerr is an ex-MM Champion, so will a new head wear the crown?

In the event of a tie, the first deciding factor will be the �Big Hitter�! Who has scored the highest number of points in any one week? If there is still a tie, the second factor will be the �Original Thinker�! Who has scored more bonus points? The third factor (if there is STILL a tie) will be �Sudden Death�! Starting from Week 1, which one was first to move ahead of the other(s). I haven�t thought beyond that point (if there is still a tie)!

Just to remind you all of who stands where in the League Table, the leaders are as follows:

FOUR Points: bangor, FoxLee, freebi & rogerr
THREE Points: patchett
TWO Points: No fewer than ten others

In the past, a late burst has overtaken the leaders to claim the prize!

I am looking forward to the next 48 hours!
The challenge to predict the four pre-selected links will be declared tomorrow morning at 9.00 am. This is some TWO hours after the sister game of KM Links, which is based on the Herculis Crossword and organised by seekerz, our every own Wizardess of Oz! Something like 50 ABers enter both Links Games every weekend (for the fun of it) and you have over 30 hours to get your predictions logged in.

Haa .. although I may not be amongst the front runners at present, I have devised a cunning plan that will without doubt provide me with the necessary impetus to strike the lead from out of the shrubbery at just the right moment ... at least that's the theory !!!

Perhaps a few slurps of the single malt might help whilst I add the final few touches to the attack ????? ☺☺

Just popped in to say night all - Have spent the last few days touring along both sides of the Portuguese/Spanish border with one of my sons - temperatures of 40 + at 5 pm. Better than being flooded but still very tiring, so no shrubbery for me tonight - looking forward to my own bed. See you all in the morning when the reign if not the rain will end.

Hello everyone, I won't be taking part tomorrow as I am going to my friends sons wedding at Gerrard's Cross and I should be leaving at 8a.m. I am staying overnight in the hotel where the reception is, then coming home on Sunday evening. As I haven't scored a point this time I don't think I'll be missed!
Just a note to tell you also that on Aug 10th it is much older brother (Burgess's) golden wedding,but he is flying to Canada on 8th on a 17 day trip. He won't tell you so thought I would.
I am going to have a glass of Baileys with you then will have to leave the Shrubbery as I still have to sort out my clothes etc.
