MM Links August 2007 [Week 1]

Good Morning MM Linkers everywhere! I am conscious that I am addressing an audience that spans at least THREE continents and I am overwhelmed. As this is my first week as Answer Bank Links Queen, I can only recall that "some have greatness thrust upon them"!

How can I be worthy of that illustrious title? Queen Alibobs has a certain ring about it, but I am only concerned with how to maintain the high standards of those setters who have gone before me?

Do I go for poetic licence Christiana style?
Could I ever match the cleverly crafted clues of gen2?
I remember wickedtongue's early efforts � alcohol was a recurrent theme
Or shall I "Colour you beautiful" like rogerr?
Perhaps I'll go down the route of current affairs and sporting events a la burgess and cliffyg?

Whatever style I choose to adopt, remember that I am the Answer Bank Links Queen!

As for the everyday running of MM, I have followed the same rule as crofter on word length. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts!

Each link word may go in front or behind my chosen word! The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when crofter will declare my selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past.
