It may be worth repeating the informal protocol which helps to get the best results from Answerbank Q+P.

1 Put the name of the puzzle in the heading
2 Only ask for help when your own searches are exhausted.
3 Give the full clue, number of letters and any letters you already have.
4 Try to put all your questions in one post.
5 Check back, even if you have solved it yourself, so that you can give stars or a word of thanks.

Well said Aq. If it were up to me I would place your posting in the notice box at the head of this page!
Quite agree!!
Yes, very well said Aq and I agree with K as well. Maybe we could get ABed to do that???
what about No.6 - when posting a question, take a couple of seconds to scroll down and check whether your question has already been asked.
Agree with all the above . Have said it before to the poster of the question/s that it helps both ways if they supply the clues/number of letters/any letters they already have , pointing out that not everybody gets that paper/magazine . How often do you see DT 3down needed or similar ?
Totally agree. Trouble is I think we're preaching to the converted. How many others will bother to read this.

To all the 'newbies', If this posting has been helpful to you, please respond!
Quite so.
What are the red stars? I have noticed them sometimes however I have no idea what they are all about.

If you have been helped, you can either post a word of thanks, or click on "Rate this answer" and award stars - though less than three can look damning with feint praise!

Point taken, Christiana. But it might be worth bookmarking this link to give as a response in some of the more blatant cases.
Thank you Aquagility. A sort of embellishment expressing gratitude? I shall be awarding red stars often then!
Thanks again Aquagilty. I have now tried out the giving of red stars on another posting and I've learned something new today!
That's an excellent idea, A. Have bookmarked it. Have taken people (gently) to task several times but get tired of keep typing it out so now I have the answer.
I agree with everything said. Well done for for posting, Aquagility.
I'll 15th that........thanks aqua..... :-)
