Finding a road in London
Does anyone know where the old Cossor's in Leyton was situated? As a kid my Grandparents lived opposite the factory. Their road was off a main road and I remember looking through bay windows at railings opposite that was the rear? entrance to Cossors. I want to go back and look at their old home and I remember the number but not the name of the road - so I hope information on Cossors can get me to a street map and as soon as I see the street names I will remember the rest of the address I am looking for.

Industry developed mainly in north-west Leyton, notably in Lea Bridge Road and Church Road, and in the neighbourhood of the two High Roads, often occupying disused buildings such as mission halls and schools.
I am going to have a guess that the factory to which you refer, may have been on Church Road, so possibly your grandparents lived somewhere near her.
