How much longer would the rope be if it was suspended 2 metres in the air above the Equator?

It would be 4 x 3.1416 metres (approx 12.5 metres) longer
I think
think x-ray may be a little short lol
Beat me to it x ray! It sounds like it should be longer, but you only need the extra 12 odd metres.
circumference of a circle is Pi x diameter, therefore if diameter is increased by 4 metres the circumference would increase by 4 x pi

x-ray why would it increase by four when ir is only two metres above the equator?
2 metres each side. Draw a circle, then another one 2 metres above it. The radius is increased by 2 metres, but the diameter is increased by twice the radius (4 metres)
