hi, can someone please tell me where the law stands on a shop covering up a buy one get on free sticker and selling at full price, i dont think it can be legal, the shop says the promotion is finished, thank you,

is the promotion actually labelled on the product? if so then the shop wouldve bought the product as a BOGOF so should pass that saving on.

Contact the product manufacturer or the stores Head office and ask for further advice.

No they do not have to honour the BOGOF offer - any price marked is a recommended retail price - that is what the manufacturer recommends. the shop can sell at whatever price it wants.

The shop can cover up a BOGOF sticker when a promotion ends, just as it can of course remove/destroy the sticker. If they left the sign up they are not obliged to let you have two for the price of one. This is because tin law it is 'an invitation to treat' rather than a contract.However many shops would honour the eal in order not to alienate the customer.
