MM Links April [Week 1]

Good Morning to all you Linkers. This is Lady Lysander calling all the way from the ancient kingdom of Northumbria (although I am Scottish by descent). I am well outside my comfort zone, so please make allowances if anything goes wrong. We all make sacrifices for the benefit of many.

My sacrifice is that I must miss my weekend Car Boot Sale for a few weeks and I am happy to do so. My particular CBS must have the best site in the country as it is held at Amble at the harbour, which used to have a large fishing fleet but sadly there is only a few boats left and the recently built marina attracts a different type of boat.

The view across the River Coquet to Warkworth Castle is quite stunning. On a pleasant day, even if I do not find a "bargain", I think how lucky I am. I only buy and collect what makes my heart lift. I look for Nursery China or Art Deco, but anything which is well designed can catch my eye. There is a very good plant stall and I am always tempted. I cannot resist buying baskets. My husband tells everyone I have an hundred in the loft.
Which is a big exaggeration!!
