This is not the place for this query but am desperate and you are such a helpful lot!
Have lost the align right, left and centre buttons from toolbar. Have tried using downward arrow which should lead to complete list buttons but they are not there either!

is it not maybe just been removed from your toolbar list (view > toolbars > formatting)?

or on the 'add removed buttons' > formatting?

You can add buttons by clicking on tools in the top menu, then customise. Click on the commands tab. Select format from the left side list. Scroll down on the right hand side to the buttons you want. Drag them to the toolbar with left mouse button then close it. You can add lots of different butttons like this and they'll stay there. To remove any, repeat the above but drag the button from the toolbar to the customise box.
