MM Links May 2008 [Week 1]
71 Answers
This will be the first week in the reign of Lady Judy aka JMR27 and once again the incoming Champion has had to work very hard to acquire the necessary IT skills to fulfil her royal duties tomorrow. However, she has proved to be as committed as all previous Champions to providing you tomorrow with an exciting game of MM Links!
Talking of being "committed", have you noticed that Pauline has been active once more promoting the Dragonfly Quiz III? She is committed like no other ~ and deserves to be committed more than anyone else I know! She is aiming to break through the 2K barrier for funds raised for the Chidren's Hospice Dragonfly Project and I have every faith in her ability to sell fridges to the Eskimos.
Talking of Eskimos, slightly belated "Happy Birthday" greetings to kayakamina. He does more to promote good fellowship on AB than virtually anyone else!
Taking of "fellowship", I look forward to seeing your predictions when the MM Link Game should be launched by Lady Judy, who will set her four words to be linked at 9.00am.
The international version of this same game is called KM Links and kicks off at the unearthly hour of about 06.30am! Look out for seekeerz from Oz who will be back to start a brand-new game and will do her usual fantastic job keeping scores for that parallel game.
As for me, I am Keeper of the Rule Book and Sacred Abacus. Tonight is Quiz Night at the local CC and I will be a simple punter tonight. It's my turn to be Quiz Master in June!
Wish me luck!

I limit my exertions to doing the Telegraph cryptic each day, the GK and the Herculis and the generalist from Prospect mag. So I have not attempted Pauline's quiz
The rest of the time I wait in ambush mode for the harpy's that hang upside down from the branches of the shrubbery and only flutter down for fresh blood on a Friday night (Venus's day and the day of bad luck for those who choose to start their journey on this day).
Brave man that I am, I know that (rugger matches permitting) I have sarumite at my side along with others.
Get your corkscrews at the ready, I am prepared, let havoc commence........

Yes, the Pauline invasion has started and I wouldn't like to be in Strix's shoes now he has admitted to not doing the Dragonfly quiz (Yet!)
Have to leave you now for a bit - have grandson staying for a few days and he needs a bedtime story or something to settle him down for the night. I suggested a whisky but Mrs Gen2 is having none of it, so a story it has to be.
May be back later.

Oh, evsajo, I love the construct on how you are working out who, what, and from where I am.
I look forward to your next guesses
An additional clue, the elder of the owlets and I spent three days at St Andrews this week.
And jan1956, I agree about the screw-top bottles but let's pretend we only drink fine wines.
