I think it might be eye to eye - but if the first eye is correct then 25d which is currency 4 letters would have 4th letter y and I am at a loss for this also. Any help would be appreciated.

eye to eye must be right is the only clue to the other that it is a currency??
joey is a slang name for a currency don`t know which one

mamyalynne - yes - the clue is currency (4).
Joey was a four-penny piece issued in 1836,
at the instance of Joseph Hume, (See Google)
term mainly used by cabbies.

having said all this I'm still stuck, because I put
Euro down, somehow toe to toe doesn't sound
right.
