Someone told me today that....

they'd read The Da Vinci Code about "20 times". Goodness me - what's the most times you've ever read a book before the story's sunk in?!!

I read Lord of the Rings (all nine, I think) about 5 times on the bounce. Took me 6 months at least.

Not that I didn't understand them as such, I just wanted to know all the names and facts.

The later editions have all the bloody characters and places as a preface!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I read "Little Women","Jane Eyre"....and Dostoevsky's "The Idiot" each about 3-4 times.....because I liked them!!

I read world war z about 5 times for the same reason as pasta.
I liked it.

I read The Stand twice over. There's a lot of characters to get used to at the start, plus it's an excellent book. As I've said B4, it's a shame the film was so cr@p!

Those replies seem pretty reasonable - particularly Abdul's, since all the characters in the books ARE hard to remember at first!!!
I skipped your first two pasta, because we had to read them at school, and they bored me at that time. read them later though - but I haven't got into teh last one yet. Any good?

I read it ages ago...lo-when I was young,idealistic and into very heavy Russian literature.....and I remember little of it!!!

the animal farm by george orwell (twice)
had to read it for my GCSE English
and To Kill A Mockingbird - lee harper? that was twice too!!
for my GCSE aswel!

oh man i hate reading but i found both books above were quite good!

most I've read a book is about 3 times..

but for anyone that did like the Da vinci code and if you haven't read it... read angels and demons... its a much much better book
