For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.AB certainly has some weird scripting (that can cause problems) but I'm surprised that Ethel (who is one of AB's most well-respected contributors) didn't suggest the obvious option of simply trying another browser.
Most of the 'regulars', around here, have been using Firefox for ages:
http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/
However, there's naturally been a recent rush to try out Chrome:
http://www.google.com/chrome
Unless there's something very seriously wrong with your computer, you should find that AB will load in at least one of those browsers.

BTW: Because I'm using Windows ME (which doesn't support Firefox 3 or Chrome), I'm using Firefox 2. AB seems to be loading OK for me at the moment.

I have had the same problem, (almost) and I de-installed Firefox and reinstalled IE.....problem solved. Just to be sure I reinstalled Firefox and AB problem returned. Have now uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled IE..problem solved.
I will take some convincing that it is the AB site that is at fault.
