What would our night sky look like if our solar system was positioned nearer the centre of the galaxy

Some of the less bright areas of the Milky Way would appear to be brighter and denser, and constellations would change out of all recognition. Otherwise, not much different to what it's like at present.

Rather flat - there's a huge black hole at the centre of our Glaxay! :c)

Contrary to jake's reply I would have thought it would be extremely bright due to the radiation emitted from the accretion disc of the central black hole. I should think it would also be extremely hot, as copious amounts of X-rays are emitted from the environs of black hole accretion discs. You'd probably need SPF20 billion to avoid the tan.
