Another week has gone by with very few MM Linkers scoring on both weeks in the reign of Sir Strix the Obscure. As a result, there are several AB-ers on the maximum score of four points with several others close on their heels! I can honestly say that Sir Strix is a little perturbed as to find the magic formula to reverse the trend. Will he be successful tomorrow? Could be!

I know that the Shrubbery Squad will be there ~ ready and waiting for a change in fortune. The launch opens at 08.45 tomorrow, with a mini novel to read before the MM link words are disclosed at 09.00 (sharp) and Sir Strix sets his third set of four words to be linked by fair means or foul!

You need also to look out for the sister game (called KM Links) that kicks off around 07.00am depending on whoever is first to solve the Herculis Crossword in The Daily Telegraph! Look out for gen2, who will be standing in for seekeerz (from the Land of Oz) over the month of November. He takes responsibility to process the predictions and maintain the League Table for the KM Links.

Me? I'm crofter, keeper of the scores for MM Links for my sins and I process the predictions and maintain the League Tables for the parallel game.

Good luck for tomorrow, when you will have to tune into another round when challenging Sir Strix. Will there be a sea change? Or will you be sunk "full fathom five"?

:o)

Yes ...but I don't even get that right with you Strix!!
I was on the 'right lines' the first week I think it was.

I think you even do that as a decoy just for me! :-((

I've signed up for some wall papering tomorrow!
Keep any of your spare mashed potato Strix, just in case i run out of paste!
I thought last week that you, Pauline, would have got CONCRETE POETRY being the poet that we all know you are.
Evening all, long time since I've dared to venture into the shrubbery.

Hi Magyar...was just thinking of you...with Children in Need being on....you must all send for his quiz folks...post details on here John.
Just told Reg his whisky pal is on!

I am a dab hand a wall papering Crofter...love it!..and poetry....only not the concrete kind! :-((

Thanks Pauline. Got your cheque when I got home from work tonight. Thanks very, very much. I've just posted a reminder on AB, so hopefully will get a few more requests.

Had lots of late nights recently trying to get the quiz finished on time so going to have an early (ish) night tonight, especially as I want to be up for the rugby in the morning.

Tell Reg I'll have a wee dram with him shortly, just fiishing off a cup of coffee first.
That should have been FINISHING off.
Hi Magyar.
Saw your post about the Children in Need Quiz. Will be posting off a cheque tomorrow.
I have quite a few quizzes on the go at the moment.
My better half said I ought to join "Quizzers Anonymous"
like Alcoholics Annonymous and Gamblers Anonymous.
......perhaps I ought to join all three !!!
Hi, I am here now. had a hectic couple of days. Daughter from Brixham came up to a seminar and went home this afternoon so am a bit fed up!!!!
Strix I am sure your words will be very entertaining tomorrow, but I think you have had influence from the the little people at the bottom of the Shrubbery..... I think you are away with the fairies!!!!!!! (only joking)
Hi Kay...she's not joking really Strix! :-))
Hi Strix.
I've got lots of quizzes at the moment too, unfortunately I can't go as far as to say they are 'on the go' as I've been spending most of my free time compiling the CIN one. Hopefully everyone who buys one will have a bit of fun and test the little grey cells a little with it. At least I can now concentrate on trying to finish some of the ones I have and test what's left of my little grey cells.
Hi Kay! Many a true word spoken in jest, eh?! :0)
Hi Pauline, don't think I will be around very late tonight as Nicky went out with some old friends last night and didn't get back until gone 1am and I was still up!!!!
Hope you are OK. You seem to have been very quiet all week!!!
Pauline. Just seen your plug for my quiz on the other link, thanks. You ought to get a job working for Saatchi and Saatchi.
Hi Dusty (and everyone else, can't remember who's around!!!)
My pleasure Magyar... Reg reckons I could sell sand to the Arabs...but as I told him...thy would buy it..as they can't build with theirs!! :-))

Kay...I have had a very tiring week in more ways than one!!
It seems very quiet in here tonight. I'm sure last time I ventured into the shrubbery there was hardly room to breathe.
Just looked back in, have now to convince my 12 yr old son that despite TV/DVD/Pudsey that it is bed time. In the absence of my wife I don't know if I have the requisite bossy voice to achieve success!!
It has been quiet lately...but every now and again they all trip in!!
Do you want me to have a go from Stockport Strix?...just open your window......
