Another week has gone by with very few MM Linkers scoring on both weeks in the reign of Sir Strix the Obscure. As a result, there are several AB-ers on the maximum score of four points with several others close on their heels! I can honestly say that Sir Strix is a little perturbed as to find the magic formula to reverse the trend. Will he be successful tomorrow? Could be!
I know that the Shrubbery Squad will be there ~ ready and waiting for a change in fortune. The launch opens at 08.45 tomorrow, with a mini novel to read before the MM link words are disclosed at 09.00 (sharp) and Sir Strix sets his third set of four words to be linked by fair means or foul!
You need also to look out for the sister game (called KM Links) that kicks off around 07.00am depending on whoever is first to solve the Herculis Crossword in The Daily Telegraph! Look out for gen2, who will be standing in for seekeerz (from the Land of Oz) over the month of November. He takes responsibility to process the predictions and maintain the League Table for the KM Links.
Me? I'm crofter, keeper of the scores for MM Links for my sins and I process the predictions and maintain the League Tables for the parallel game.
Good luck for tomorrow, when you will have to tune into another round when challenging Sir Strix. Will there be a sea change? Or will you be sunk "full fathom five"?
Goodnight Kay, I'll be joining you shortly (not literally of course), just want to see the news team's efforts on Children in Need before bed, and I'm just about to get my tot of whisky Pauline, if you want to tell Reg. Goodnight all, see you in the morning for Strix's links.
x-ray...just hope I can 'fiddle' the links tomorrow!!
What is your weather like seekeerz?
Quite mild today here...and in the shrubbery...but last few weeks shrubbery has been freezing! We have had to warm it up...mind you ...lots of warm 'air' tonight...a lot of beans been passed around!!!
seekeerz, aah - a well digested bit of over-ripe cheese is liable to give one some degree of wind - not so sure that it is a fair wind, one just hopes it is not a following wind !
think I'm heading back underneath the radar - these Shrubbery nights are playing with my head !! Time for coffee, then go see what the day has to offer. Will be back later though, for the enthralling [!!] saga of Sir Strix the Indescribable AND his very good Lady this evening !!
Kay, if you come back onto this thread, thanks for the Joe Brown. Saw him in Grimsby last Saturday and that is what he always finishes off with. Tops.
Would you early linkers please leave a few good words for the rest of us tomorrow? (Not, of course, that that would necessarily be helpful this month!!!!
