Christmas Tree

Got into such a plaver with the tree lights this year, I've decided to get rid of tree and lights after Christmas and get a fibre optic or pre-lit tree for next year.
Only problem is, I don't want to get rid of baubles and tinsel etc, but is it safe to decorate a fibre optic or pre-lit tree?
Wasn't sure where to post this but I'm sure the knowledgeable people on chatterbank will know the answer.

I used to decorate mine.

Then my Ex decided to have a clear out and chucked it along with all the decorations my kids had made since nursery.....The tw@t....................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no need to do that, get some LEDs, they'll last you 10 christmases and you can still use your tree and baubles etc

Was it a fibre optic or pre-lit ummmm?
I'm not sure what the difference is but wondered if it might be safe to decorate one but not the other.

It was fibre optic............changed colour every few seconds. I decorated it like a normal tree.

Hi Missprim,
I have a fibre optic (or as my Mum calls it - optic fibre) tree, and it's being used for its fourth christmas now, in normal baubles, glitter stars and tinsel, with my lovely gold angel on top. I switch it on at dusk, say 5ish, until I go to bed 12 ish. Absolutely fine and looks lovely. Merry Christmas!!

I have a fibre optic tree and it has been decorated to within an inch of its life, no problems looks bonza
