Really saddened to learn this today- lovely lovely man, watched his programmes for years,fascinated- though I'm still crap at art!

Very sad to hear this, although I know he had been ill for some time. Another icon of my childhood gone. :-( What will Morph do now?

Me too B00. Grew up with him on the TV. Hadn't realised he'd had a couple of strokes and was no longer able to draw/paint. He had a lovely gentle voice. R.I.P.

Tony Hart was an inspiration to lots of youngsters & oldies, also our two daughters who are artistic. We all loved Morph too.

Hart Beat was the show i remember him from, being an 80's child. Sent loads of stuff in for the gallery, but nothing ever got shown.

I too felt quite sad when I heard this news earlier today. Isnt it odd how the death of someone most of us have never met can cause such a reaction. I too grew up with Tony. Firstly with VisionOn and then with Take Hart. He always seemed such a nice person.

I grew up with Vision On in the 1960's and 70's. Tony Hart inspired me to produce art in other ways than just pencil and paint.
Sure you know he designed the Blue Peter ship for the programme of the same name.
