MM and KM Links February 2009 [Week 1]

Welcome to this very first week of our new setter, Queen Dustybun. Her name reminds me of the famous quote from Marie Antoinette to the peasants of Paris: "Let them eat cake". Perhaps she should have ordered "Let them eat dusty buns" and she may have kept her head!

To set up Week [1] of any MM Links Game is always tight on time, but none tighter that this week with Queen Dusty, yet she has taken on her responsibilities with great gusto! As far as we can prepare, all the I's have been dotted and the T's crossed in ensuring all the IT skills are in place. All we can do now is wait to see what happens tomorrow.

The launch of the MM Links Game should begin with the posting opening at 8.45am and the four words to be linked should be declared at 9.00am for a brand new game. Of course, it will also be a brand new start for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at an earlier time (usually about 7.00am). Look out for our regular organiser from Oz, seekeerz, who is melting in the middle of an Australian Summer. She will be assessing results for KM Links (an international version of MM Links). Why not chance your arm at both Link Games? They remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards.

Tonight is the first Friday in the month and for me it is Quiz Night at the local CC. Hopefully the snows will hold off long enough for me to return safely to the croft.

With luck we shall all meet up tomorrow to begin our February Linking!

It�s a new game with a clean slate for all entrants.

The trouble with the pseudonyms on this site is that they don't really give you any hints about the setter of the Links. So I thought I would do a little research on the web to find out about the new Queen of the Link, her Majesty Dustybun and look what I found, oodles and poodles of hints!

we bought some Aussie red last week for �4.49 a bottle ofcourse I bought 6
saving some for tomorrow as we both have Sunday off
I was off tomorrow but now have been asked in 9-1
nice short shift but will miss the beginning of the links game

That lady Pauline is really very astute and Strix - you are really wide of the mark. If there is one thing I can guarantee it is that you will never see me and a dog in the same room. Hope the leg is feeling a bit better.
