The longest could be regarded as the Channel Tunnel. ( Second longest in the world the last I saw )

Also a tunnel on London Underground's Northern Line was once regarded as Britain's longest tunnel.

not counting the channel Tunnel the longest cannel in the UK is the Standedge Tunnel on the Huddersfield Cannal a 3.25 mls

Severn Rail tunnel is 4 miles 629 yds, so beats Stanedge by a mile! As said Northern line via Bank is about 17.5 miles (from memory) and is the longest transport tunnel unless you count the Chunnel. There are longer 'aqueducts', but these are usually counted.
