KM Links Game - April week 4 results
25 Answers
Good morning everyone, from a rather soggy South Oz, we have had some wonderful rain since late last week, with a promise it will continue for at least a day or two more.
Although not really necessary, I posted the 4 relevant questions from this morning's Herculis some little while back and now for the answers to those questions, the matches and the scores - here goes
the answers - waist, hour, pigeon and hopper, making this weekend's matches
Wasp waist [ don't I wish]
Happy hour
Clay Pigeon
Leaf Hopper
The Wasp waist and the Clay pigeon were two very popular choices while [surprisingly] the Happy hour was less well patronised and the Leaf hopper had only one friend in lysander.
There was only one successful entrant to collect 6 points for 3 correct matches and that was wickedtongue
But not surprisingly, 17 entries were each able to pick up three points for 2 correct matches and a further 21 collected 1 point for one correct match.
This is the end of our trial month with it's new scoring and access to the questions - I guess I need to hear the opinions of the majority - do we continue with this new format ??
And now to the Leader Board !!

Luckily, for this month at least, we don't have to resort to such drastic lengths, for, Lo and behold, my prayers were answered and a clear cut winner emerged from the pack, and it was none other than our very own --

I am certainly in favour of the new scoring system - it saves a scramble on Sat. morning. Apart from the fact that I didn't do too badly!
Congrats seekeerz on winning the MM links, I will try to give it another go next month, but I certainly don't seem to be on the same wavelength as our setters!
Happy days all!

well done seekeerz and crofter (nudge, nudge, wink, wink!!) and thanks for all the work you both put in. Seriously though, I prefer the new system. However I would hope to be able to get a ticket for the first 'handbags at dawn' play-off. In mud would be good!
Steff ~ I know you're going to scold the wabbit but I left another post on the game thread for you. I am defo losing the plot!! :0)

So, seekeerz and crofter Queen and King of the castle for May - well done both!
I like the new system of scoring for the KM links, but would prefer the MM links to stay the same.
I would miss that moment every week when I think and type as quickly as I can, only to find I've been relelated to the scond page!

What a delightful surprise! As several people have already noted, it is fitting that both Steff and I feature in the other's Link Game. It sort of underlines our credentials ~ although it has taken over two years to do so!
Congratulations Steff!
They say that things happen in threes ...
... Newcastle United to win this evening?

Well done, crofter. And congratulations to you too seekeerz for winning the MM links.
I like your new scoring system as I can rarely get my answers in early ...not that I get enough answers right to get double points for them...but nevertheless, I vote for the new system.
Looking forward to seeing your name in lights next Saturday.
