flowers in the attic a true story

i would like to know if flowers in the attic,petals in the wind,if there be thorns ,seeds of yesterday and garden of shadows by virginia andrews are true stories?

These books are not based on a true story, but a rumour going around is that they are.  Virginia Andrews dies a few years back and she apparently left notes for future stories and her family have got together with a writer(s) and published a number of different series.  If you have not seen the film but read the book I advise you not to its rubbish compared to the book.

Flowers in the attic is a true story as far as i know but im not sure about the other four. i presume they are because if number 1 is then surely they would be a continuation of what actually happened to the characters the story is based on. i actually do think they are true stories especially the first one because at the start of the first book you are told its a true story.
