Stuck on last couple of answers, and I know I will kick myself, but I am tying my brain in knots and my husband wants his supper! : 28a Pratically cover one much admired mountain in Greece (7). ?ELIC?N.( I want it to be 'pelicon' - Pelion mountain in Greece, c from cover, but word doesn't exist). And 24d Die to get into exercise pit h once upon a time (6). Have been working on 'die' as plinth without the 'h'. but can't get it to work! (Is 20d 'undergo'? - seems too straightforward for a Mephisto!)
Dearest Kayakamina,
I'm not doubting you at all, but still can't get my head around this one... die = long, with excercise = PE.....but how does the 'C" get into PIT-H from 'once upon a time'...? Circa?....
Sorry, Kayakimina, and all you lovely people who respond to questions on this site, and thank you for your patience with me. I get the 'plonge' clue now - I was trying to make the Mephisto even more complicated than it is!...
